Identity Verification Services
Proving identity online using Service Victoria Identity Verification (IDV) affords confidence that a user is who they claim to be when applying for services. Minimise fraud and offer peace-of-mind with our secure IDV tools
Some of the holdings are:
- LOA2 is a medium level of confidence of the identity and confirms identity documentation from authoritative sources has been received and verified.
- LOA3 is a high level of confidence of the identity and confirms identity documentation from authoritative sources has been received and verified and also binds the individual to these identity documents.
When customers return or apply for other services in future, they can choose to re-use a saved identity, if they opt to store this info after verifying their identity.
We don’t store copies of any identity documents, or use customer info for any other purpose unless permitted by law.

National Police Check
The Service Victoria National Police Check works together with Service Victoria Identity Verification (IDV) establishing a citizen's identity at LOA3 level before starting the National Police Check
Service Victoria uses a standards-based approach for the design and development of its National Police Check service (NPC).
Our NPC service is designed for easy integration into existing agency websites. We provide a browser/mobile device user interface, which can launch via a URL redirection to Service Victoria after LOA3 is successful, which controls the regulatory data collection required for NPC by ACIC and passes this info back to the agency transaction.
We don’t store copies of any identity documents. We don’t use customer info for any other purpose unless permitted by law.

Accounts
Reliable authentication as a service using a standardised login process, followed across agencies and Service Victoria accounts which includes MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) support for enhanced security
This standardised login process provides a consistent user experience, limits risks to customer info when transacting with Service Victoria, and protects access to customer information.
Customers who choose to store and save their details with Service Victoria receive an authentication credential. They can re-use it whenever they return to the Service Victoria website, to access their info.
Service Victoria provides credential collection pages — Login, Email One Time Pin (OTP) and SMS OTP — for easy integration with your systems (e.g. websites, portals). We can also support steps in UX flows for authentication and self-service (e.g. forgotten password or email, change password, mobile or email).
Once a customer creates an account, they can also access the Service Victoria mobile app and dashboard, with even more flexibility for managing their experience on the platform, e.g. setting communication preferences, stored payment methods, access to other digital holdings (digital “cards”) and account history.

Income Assessment
Service Victoria’s income assessment services provide a means-testing flow for eligibility-managed programs, based on definable agency or other requirements

- Centrelink Healthcare and Low Income cards

Business Verification Service
Need to verify a business is legitimate and above board? We leverage ABR services (ABR Connect) to check the validity of any business using ABN and ACN
The Business Verification service offers the ability to verify:
- ABN validation check only
- ABN validation check, identity verification of individual (LOA2 or LOA3) and ABR contact match (i.e. is the individual associated to the business/entity and what is their relationship).
